Portumna Community School
The X Factor: During the week there was a search for talented students to put their names forward for auditions to take part in Porrtumna Community Schools Xmas Factor Concert which will be held in December. Ten(ish) entertaining acts will be chosen to perform on stage representing the following categories: Musicians, Singers, Bands, Modern Dancers, Novelty Acts/Comedy Sketches.

Already there has been a great response with 30 ‘acts’ signed up! The guest judges were busy with the X-Factor Style Auditions selecting from each category and hope to be pleasantly surprised!! It was suggested that students should check out YouTube for ideas as the more entertaining their acts are the better. The Auditions began last Friday and will run into this week. They will take place during Lunch Time in the Music Room (L). So there may be a rising star found in Portumna Community School.
