Ballinakill N.S. Annual Summer Science Challenge
Once again, students from Ballinakill N.S. have hosted their second Annual Science Challenge. In 2012 the science theme was "Flight" and it involved the design and construction of model aeroplanes with prizes sponsored by NASA. Following on their past achievements, this year, their selected theme was lighthouses. This proved a tremendous success. Parents, teachers and adjudicators loudly applauded the children's work. Celebrating the great history and service of our lighthouses was a worthy cause. Every child participated and entries ranged from small and petite models to tall and sophisticated with flashing and rotating beams. All children were winners under the various categories on the day.
