Sabrina Fallon
Sabrina has completed 2 years of a 3-year degree course in Textiles at GMIT. She is now in San Francisco for the summer break where she is singing and playing music at weddings. She is influenced by Neil Young, Dusty Springfield, Crystal Gale, Kenny Rogers, Don Williams but especially loves listening and watching her cousin Mike Denver. Having been brought up in a house where her mother Eileen, her father Patsy and brothers all loved singing, dancing and listening to a wide repertoire of music eg: American and Irish Country, ACDC and TOTO. Sabrina says it was a house of musical extremes. Her mother always encouraged Sabrina to follow her dream, as her father did when he released his first single at the age of 65 years young.

It was her Dads enthusiasm to cut a record that inspired Sabrina to write her own material. She is working with Pete Duffy at the ‘Dreams Loft’ in Galway producing her own original work. This is a slow process and her studies are full on. Sabrina also does street performances, which she says fills her spirit every time she performs. She is a regular Busker in Shop Street in the street, Galway. Each day is unique and filled with new experiences. She goes on to say that- “One day I was approached by a man who said to me "I can help you? I can get you off the streets!!!"...I had to laugh, as he really believed he was giving me a huge dig out, in actual fact, it was quite the opposite. I could not be more content street performing, even if I was to ever make it in the music business,. I don’t think anything could top the authenticity of the streets for this Hippy”

As said earlier one of her main influences is Neil Young. She had the pleasure of hearing him many times in America. While in San Francisco this summer Sabrina hopes to travel to his ranch and seek his help with a song she wrote and is having difficulty with the melody. On completion of her degree Sabrina will put 100% into her music. Having come through the auditions for The Voice (BBC) this year but being unable to attend the second round of auditions in London in July because of financial restrictions Sabrina hopes to enter the talent competition next year.
