Big Generator Visit Abu Dhabi
The Big Generator is no stranger to entertaining audiences on foreign soil. Last week was no exception. The band jetted over to the sunny shores of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates to play the Abu Dhabi Irish Society's St Patrick’s Ball. This year, the Society was celebrating its Ruby Anniversary with a sell out attendance of 600 at the exclusive Etihad Towers hotel on Thursday night last. From the opening set to the final encore, the band entertained a willing audience on the dance floor with hits from the 80s, 90s and the present day. The Big Generator trade mark quality of sound and musical talent was joy to behold and evoked many a fond memory of old going to see the band back in Ireland. A big thank you to Liam, Frostie, Ed and Tony for a super night and we look forward to the Big Generator playing these shores again.

Krown Films Present 'The Cormack Brothers'
Krown Films Present 'The Cormack Brothers' in Portumna Town Hall on Friday 10th April at 8pm. Admission €8 (children €4). Directed by Alan Brown.
Ireland, 1858. 2 brothers were wrongfully hanged for the murder of a local land agent, setting in motion events 50 years on as Ireland fought for independence. This is an emotional telling of the true story of the Cormack brothers, from Loughmore in Ireland, who were hanged in Nenagh jail in 1858. 50 years on their bodies were exhumed and reburied in their home parish of Loughmore where they remain today.
