Calling All Artists
One major strand of Shorelines Arts Festival 2016 takes place early in September and that is the annual Shorelines Art Exhibition in the Gallery at the Workhouse - a magical space where work by local artists as well as a handful of invited professionals will be exhibited. Which means that YOUR piece of work can be on display. It's a selling exhibition, and the commission is 15%, which goes some way to covering exhibiting costs. So please price your work including the commission and ensure your work is suitably framed and ready to hang if it is a painting or photograph. If you are an artist in a different medium, please get in touch with either of the curators listed below.
Work will only be accepted on Sunday 28th and Monday 29th August between 6.00 and 7.30pm upstairs in the Workhouse. A fee of €5 applies. The exhibition will be open from Sept 4th -Sept 18th. Once the hanging committee has started to put up the work, it is impossible to accommodate last-minute arrivals, and the committee would hate to disappoint anyone. If you know someone who is an artist, please tell them, too! If you would like to volunteer at the exhibition as a supervisor, let Shorelines know.  Further information may be obtained from the Shorelines website or curators: Margaret 086 319 5603 and Jackie 087 631 9890 who wish to thank the management of the Irish Workhouse Centre for their generous co-operation.
