St. Patrick’s Day Parade:
This years parade will be held on Easter Sunday at 3pm The theme for this years parade is “ Rebellion” so work your float around this theme.
Camera Club:
Meeting on Tuesday 4th Mar at 8pm in the Maple Kitchen. Speaker: John Smails, photographer from Dublin.
Galway Volunteer Centre:
Is holding a public information evening in Na Calai Abbey St, Portumna on Thurs 6th Mar at 7.30pm. The eve will consist of a short Presentation on volunteering and the work of the Galway Volunteer Centre within Galway city and county. This will be followed by questions and answers and tea and Coffee will be served on the night. All are welcome. Anyone interested in finding more about volunteering in Galway and local organizations working with volunteers may benefit from coming along. Contact Ruth Fagan at 091-583696.

Would like if people in the town and community would decorate their homes and premises with bunting, flags etc for the all Ireland final on St. Patrick’s day. Anyone interested in booking a place on the bus can do so at Dan Lynch & Sons as soon as possible price €20. Club merchandise jerseys, jackets etc for sale now in Dan Lynch & Sons. People requiring tickets can order them on Fri night 7th Mar at Portumna GAA clubhouse from 8pm- 9.30pm.
Portumna Juvenile Club:
Family fun day on 13th April 2008. Draw for €3000 in prizes for juvenile development. Tickets available from any committee member.
