Heritage Week Events at Portumna Castle & Gardens:
Friday Aug 29th – Frevo Quartet at 7.30pm. Free Adm. Aisling Agnew & Matthew McAllister return this year with two other very accomplished musicians, Douglas Whates & Feargus Hetherington to perform music from South America, France and the Celtic nations. . Sat 23rd & 24th Aug “Translations” by Brian Friel at 8pm. Tickets €25. Places limited. Sunday 31st Aug- Family day at the Castle. From 2pm to 5.30pm. Free Adm all day. Historical Arms & Armour Display, with interactive dress-up for children. 17th century “Boule” competition on the lawn. Thatching demonstration by local Fas team. Face Painting. ISPCC- Positive Parenting Course:
Are you the parent or guardian of a child aged between 4-12 yrs old ? Would you like to attend a five week positive parenting course ?. Venue: Na Calai CDP, Abbey St, Portumna.
