Heritage Week Events at Portumna Castle & Gardens:

Friday Aug 29th – Frevo Quartet at 7.30pm. Free Adm. Aisling Agnew & Matthew McAllister return this year with two other very accomplished musicians, Douglas  Whates & Feargus Hetherington to perform music from South America, France and the Celtic nations. . Sat 23rd & 24th Aug “Translations” by Brian Friel at 8pm. Tickets €25. Places limited. Sunday 31st Aug- Family day at the Castle. From 2pm to 5.30pm. Free Adm all day. Historical Arms & Armour Display, with interactive dress-up for children. 17th century “Boule” competition on the lawn. Thatching demonstration by local Fas team. Face Painting. Spring Onion Puppet Theatre present, “Moving House” Traditional puppets with goodies, baddies and audience participation. One performance only at 3pm Sharp.
