Portumna GAA Club:
Wishes to inform their supporters that the County final is now on the 2nd Nov. Please decorate your home or business with flags and bunting. Training fund in place and anyone wishing to contribute can do so by contacting a committee member. Anyone wishing to travel to the final by bus please contact D.Lynch & Sons. This is a huge honour for the club who will be contesting their 6th consecutive county final in a row.
Baffle Poetry Group:
In Loughrea are holding their annual poetry festival on the 24th & 25th Oct. Free Friday night wine reception and poetry reading. The Baffle Brunch at Slatefort House and the grand final on Sun eve where poets writing on the festival theme” The First Time” compete to become Baffle Bard 2008. Shoe Box Appeal- Celebrating Ten Years:
Thank you. Nearly two million needy children have received an Irish Operation Christmas Child gift-filled shoebox over the last ten years. In our tenth year we’d love to send boxes to more children than ever before- will you help us make it happen? All boxes need to be returned before 6th Nov.
