Na Calai CDP’s Health Forum and Portumna’s Mental Health Association in partnership with Portumna’s Mental Health Service are currently taking names for the following community courses.
Dealing with Stress: Tuesdays from 7.30pm-9.30pm commencing on Feb 24th for 6 to 8 sessions (provisional start date) Venue: Na Calai CDP,Portumna.
Parenting: Tuesdays from 10.30am – 12.30am commencing on Feb 24th for 6 sessions (provisional start date) Venue: The Heritage Centre, Killimor.

Would appreciate if all householders and business premises would decorate their premises with flags and bunting for the forthcoming all Ireland semi final on 22nd Feb. A.S.I.S.T. Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training
The Galway Suicide Resource Office in conjunction with the Portumna & District Lions Club are holding a two day training workshop to help individuals recognize and intervene to assist people at risk of suicide within their work, community or family group. The course will be facilitated by staff from the Galway Suicide Resource Office, Cost of the venue and lunch will be provided by Portumna & District Lions Club. Programme will be available on Thurs & Fri 23rd & 24th April in the Shannon Oaks hotel from 9am to 5pm. Contact Ann at 086-8100289.
