Night Prayer Vigil - Clonmacnois
Cluan Chiarain prayer centre on Friday 17th July and 3rd Friday of every month. Starts with mass at 10pm and finishes at 3:10 am. All Welcome.
Pilgrimage to Oberammergan
With tour to Innsbruck and the Fairytale Castle of Bavoria. The world famous passion play held every 10 years. Monday 16th Aug 2010. It is a 9 day trip.
The year for Priests - 19th June 2009 to 19th June 2010
The year should provide a welcome opportunity for the entire church, priests and people to reflect on the role of priesthood and responsibility we all share for promoting and fostering the unique vocation of the priest.

Ice Cream Sunday for Down Syndrome Ireland
This Sunday 12th July from 12pm to 3pm in the playground. Hosted by the Portumna Scout Group. Ice cream, face painting, music and lots of fun.
Sky Dive - In Aid of Acquired Brain Injury Ireland
6 members of Portumna Retirement Village staff are taking part on the 23rd August. Fundraising event this Sun 12th July in Curley's Bar, Portumna. Music by Colin Fahy. Bab-b-que from 5pm onwards. Please support.
Junior Golf Summer Camps
John Coyle PGA professional will run 2 summer camps for junior boys & girls in July & Aug. The July dates are 14th to 17th and Aug 11th to 14th the format is 9am to 12 noon over 12’s and 1pm to 4pm under 12’s he will be assisted by Ada Burke Irish girls International who is also a nurse.
