Portumna / Gortanumera / Boula Celebration
The parish will celebrate the 75th Anniversary of Gortanumera church and 150th Anniversary of Gortanumera school on 3rd July 2010.
40th Anniversary Celebration
Fr. Brendan Lawless is celebrating forty years of priesthood. To mark this very special occasion, a thanksgiving mass will be celebrated in St. Brigid’s church, Portumna on Monday 28th June at 7.30pm, and this will be followed by a social evening in the Town hall. We hope that all our parishioners, both young and old will come along and join in this great parish celebration.

There was no winner of last Saturday night’s lotto jackpot. Numbers drawn were 8,16,23,24. Four people matched 3 numbers. Seamus Hayes, Marie Walsh, Eugene McEntee Jnr and Paul Glynn. Silver Circle Draw - Results
Results of the 1st silver circle draw: €150 - Ann Kelly Woodford, €50 - Peter Flannery Woodford, €50 - Mary Mullin Marian Park, €25 Bruce Betting Office. Open day at the Day Care Centre, Portumna on Sunday 13th June from 3pm-5pm. The aim is to allow everybody to view the new extension and learn how the centre works. It is also a useful day for family with reservations or queries as to the suitability for their relative or neighbour. At present transport is only available in each area one day per week, but anyone with his/her own transport the centre is open Monday to Friday and is welcome to come in as often as they wish. Anyone unable to attend on open day can call in anytime during the week to have a look around.
