40th Anniversary Celebration for Fr. Brendan Lawless

Churchill Cemetery
A meeting to elect a committee for Churchill Cemetery will be held in Michael Walsh’s Clubhouse on Friday 25th June at 9.30pm. The Churchill cemetery collection amounted to €13.55.
Celebratory Mass in Gortanumera Church
On Saturday 3rd July at 6.30pm to acknowledge the 75th anniversary of our church and 150th year in continuous use of our school. We ask all Gortanumera people to inform relatives, they might like to pay a return visit. The school will be open and the roll books available for viewing, there will also be some old photographs on display. A meeting will be held in the school on Monday 21st June at 8pm to finalize preparation and organize catering. Please come along.

Portumna GAA - Lotto & News
There was no winner of last Saturday night’s lotto jackpot. Numbers drawn were 3,17,25,27. Three people matched 3 numbers. John O’Brien, Sarah McDonagh & Tom O’Brien. The presentation of gear to U/8’s, U/10’s, U/12 & U/14 teams will take place in the clubhouse Monday 21st June at 7.30pm. Best of luck to the Galway team and management when they meet Offaly in the Leinister semi final on Sunday.
Portumna District Credit Union - 21st Celebrations
Portumna & District Credit Union celebrates its 21st Birthday this year. To celebrate this milestone in our history, Galway Bay are visiting the Credit Union on Saturday 19th June and will broadcast live from outside the Credit Union between 12 noon and 6pm. Our 3rd Car Draw will take place live on Galway bay FM and the winner will be announced. So come to the credit union and have your requests played on Galway bay FM.
