Concerned Citizens of Portumna
It has come to our attention that over the last few weeks glass bottles have been thrown into the swimming area (including the baby pool) down at the lakeshore, causing injury to many swimmers. Please help to keep our swimming area clean and safe.
South East Galway Tourist Office

The Marie Keating Foundation
Mobile unit & nurse will be in Portumna on Thursday 22nd July from 10.30am to 1pm in the square and from 2-4pm at the GAA grounds (in conjunction with GAA Cul Camps).
Niall Mellon Township Draw-Results
Draw took place recently. 1st prize €500- Colin Ryan Woodford. 2nd prize €150-Annette Fahy Clifden. 3rd prize €100- Dave Ryan Dublin. Thanks to all who bought and sold tickets.

Water Safety Week
At Lake Shore Pool from Monday 5th July to sat 10th July. Time: 10am-12pm. 2pm-4pm & 6pm-8pm. Fee: €15. Registration: 10am on the 5th July at the Lake Shore. The attractive lake shore amenity area is now being visited by unwelcome groups from outside areas who are engaged in unsocial able behavior, littering the area with broken beer bottles & cans. The Gardai would appreciate reports of such unsocial outbreaks and promise swift response to same.
Portiuncula Stroke Support Group
There will be no meetings held over the summer months of June, July & August. Meetings will return again in Sept.
