Portumna Tourist Office

The South East Galway Tourist Office is located in Abbey Street, Portumna beside the IRD centre. The office is managed by SE Galway IRD, a non-for-profit local development company that was formed in 1997, to promote, support and engage in local development initiatives that benefit the area. A wide range of information on the locality and within touring distance is available at the office, as is internet access. The office is staffed by IRD personnel, who are employed under the Community Services Programme.



South East Galway IRD Tourist Information Centre, Abbey Street, Portumna, opened in June 2004.
It operates from June to early September every year on a voluntary basis.

Opening Hours: 9.00 - 5.30 Monday to Friday, Lunch 1.00 - 2.00 (June to September)
